Whyyyyyy. Why would you do that. It's not cool, it doesn't make your site feel more polished, look more sleek or whatever, it's just annoying as fuck. Especially if your website is a e-commerce page, you're just making it harder for people find what they want and therefore give you their money. You want their money, right? So pleease make it so I don't leave your website in frustration and head to the competition. Also, shoutout to fuckers who make their background a video. Your memory hog of a website is keeping my thighs and hands warm this fall. There might be a coal shortage at the moment, but there sure isn't a shortage of poor design choices!
